It's National Grilled Cheese Month!

Spring has sprung!

The birds are singing their twitterpated melodies, the sun is shinier, the flowers bloomier.
We welcome the awakening from the lazy slumber of cooler days past.

Which gives rise to balmy, warmer fair weathered eats, and of course the all time favorite,
a classic grilled cheese sandwich.

This month, set your sails up high to a sandwich nirvana with the gooey goodness of hot, melty cheese snug perfectly between two layers of a bready, seventh heaven.

Put a twist on el traditional using a breakfast croissant, spicy peppered jack cheese, and apple butter.

A dreamy breakfast sandwich using heirlooms and cream cheese.

Queso fresco and fried green tomatoes on cornbread.
Taleggio, prosciutto, and arugula on sourdough.

Pimento cheese and sriracha on baguette.

Iberico cheese and sausage stuffed baby pepper on ciabatta.  

Apricot stilton and dried cranberries on whole wheat.

You mustn't forget dessert!

Add marscapone, nutella and strawberries onto french toasty challah bread for a nutellicious sweet treat.

Go on, dive into the depths of your fridge, and all the way back into your kitchen cabinets for unique ingredients to get creative with your own cheese grinder sometime this month.

Your stomach will happily thank you for it.
