The weekend has drawn to a close, and as I sit here taking to a glass of light sparkling Moscato, I'm beaming with thoughts of astonishment wondering how I managed to land in the cushy lap of kinship luxury, how I finagled my way into becoming the lucky winner of the friend lotto.
I continue to marvel from being surrounded with a community of fiercely beautiful and equally talented men and women.

It was a delicious feast for the senses to devour featuring acts of soaring aerialists, exotic bellydancers, extraordinary acrobatics, acts of contortionism, fire performances, and hoopdancing artistry that I'm still trying to wrap my head around.
These are the kind of people that are unique and affecting, the kind of friends that leave you feeling refreshed and inspired, the ones that take paintbrushes to the canvas of life and strike matches to ignite meaning, purpose, and beauty in the wake of their path.
These ladies and gents are a small handful of the event's featured performers, and I'm proud to say that they're my insanely beautiful friends.
Miss Elizabeth "Lizbits" Fraley is a delectable, fuschia-haired charmer, and a Nueroscience Ph.D. candidate, who takes to the skies above as a gravity-defying aerialist to dazzle and delight spectators below.
This dark haired raven beauty, Anja Indirani is an enchanting entertainer as she sizzles with tribal bellydance, fire and wing dance performances.
Additionally, her darling mother can dance you under the table.
Then there's the ass-kicking, kung-fu gripping, stringpicking jedimaster Sarah Cranberry. In addition to being a truly accomplished violin and viola player, she brandishes a beautiful soul.
Lady Leeloo will leave you dizzy with astonishment as you contemplate how the hoop spirals and glides over and across her body with such ease.
Siblings Leilainia and Adelaide make up the dream team otherwise known as The Shimmy Sisters. Between bellydancing, snake charming, and sword balancing, their talents are as varied as they are alluring.

What a gift it is to share the same living and breathing space with such beautiful spirits. I wish for everyone to have such enrichment in their lives.
It's funny how we seem to have such detailed lists of qualities we seek and desire in partners and careers, but have no such list for selecting those we establish friendships with.
Are we just wandering through life collecting friends along the way?
I've never believed the notion that we're just a bunch of planet inhabitants "accidentally" bumping into each other.
Perhaps then, we should be a bit more picky when it comes to such matters? After all isn't quality far better than quantity when in comes to selecting those who come near your heart?
Are your friends and associates leaving you feeling inspired, or drained?
I say choose your friends wisely.
There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality;
and then there are those who turn one into the other.
